Cut up Faces Developed

From the abstract faces I have developed a mirror image by slicing the faces up into small strips and creating this illusion.
These outcomes have a sinister feel to them as we are unsure what to look at because it has been furiously abstracted.
It almost looks like it's two people merged into one, as if it's some sort of creature.

Cut up faces

Carrying on from the distorted faces, I decided to cut up different faces and join them together. I think this worked well because the faces have all linked together but they are still abstract. If I was going to improve on this I would make it all one colour so it looks as if it's one picture.

Photoshop Abstract Faces

I came up with these ideas by looking at Picasso's distorted faces. I produced these outcomes on Photoshop using the 'Magic Wand' tool.
I cropped features from different people and placed them on someone else to distort the face and make it abstract.
This related to Picasso's work because I have emphasised features to create an abnormal person, which is what he did.
I have developed these ideas by experimenting with the effects on Photoshop.
I decided to do this because it shows another process that I have used and it was quick and effective to develop and distort the face more.
In the future I could use this technique to crop and overlay any object, for a different project.

Jackson Pollock

This is a page from my sketchbook inspired by Jackson Pollock. The marks overlap and are tightly composed which relates to the work or Jackson Pollock. I have developed this page by applying the marks more freely and using bright colours to make it vibrant and exciting. I chose to do this because I am able to develop it in many different areas and use this technique to produce variety of outcomes. Using paint was a good choice because it is free and flowing which helped create the movement of the marks. If I was to develope this I would introduce a variation of colour and texture to give it more depth.

Photography Prints

These are some outcomes I have created using a digital camera.

This is my favourite outcome because I like the way the light has captured the rain drops and made it look like it's glowing. Also I think the background works well because even though it's blurry it focuses on the foreground and the light effect.

The lighting from this shot makes it more interesting because it is intense. It looks as if it is moving downwards because the photo gets darker as you go towards the bottom. The lighting and shadow creates texture which gives it depth. Towards the bottom of the photo it gets blurry and loses focus, which makes it dull. The contrast of the blue and white makes it dynamic which captures your attention.
