Journey- A Compare and Contrast between my journey and 'The YellowBrick Road'

My journey and the 'Wizard of Oz' journey are both literal as it's a journey to get to a certain destination. The difference is mine is real-life and ' The Yellow Brick Road' is a fairy tale, made up with hidden meanings.

The purpose of the journeys were discovery. My journey was discovering primary research for my chosen topics, which helped inspire my work. In contrast ' The Yellow Brick Road' was a journey of self discovery and finding out what you are like as a person. Also it was a journey of growing up.

Both journeys are based on topics and have different elements to them. Signs and colour were the topic of my journey, which are literal things you can see, where as 'The Yellow Brick Road' journey was more about emotion. This shows us that it had deeper meaning and hidden messages. The topics present were friendship, childhood, bravery and courage. All these topics come from living things and not objects, where as objects was what I was focusing on. Although signs and colours show emotions as they represent different things. 

Another similarity is that they are both representational as signs represent certain actions and 'The Yellow Brick Road' characters represent different in  securities. Over all both journeys are about learning and discovery.
