In contrast with ancient Greek the contemporary colours are more vibrant. This makes them exciting and playful. There isn't a wide variety of colours but what they do use is block which makes it bold and strong. Looking at ancient Greece the colours were plain and simple which look elegant and flowing. Using the pastel colours emphasise the drapery as we can easily see the shape, because of the strong contrasts in tone. For my final outcomes I am going to use bright, bold colours to make my designs dynamic and energetic. Using watercolour would be a good hand drawn material because it can show the contrasts in tone well, which gives it depth to make it look 3 dimensional.
